Bryson Scaffolding was engaged by Lawtech to tender for the scaffold package at The Mirage, Portishead, an Art-Deco style apartment building with integral commercial units at ground floor for specialist retail. A specially designed scaffold was required to the perimeter of the building to allow render and re-cladding works to every elevation.
Bryson Scaffolding was awarded the project following an engaged design process and competitive pricing. Due to restricted tying positions a specially designed scaffold tie was used allowing for minimal making good following the scaffold dismantle process.
The Mirage was occupied by residents throughout the duration of the project meaning strict noise controls were implemented as part of Lawtech requirements. Bryson Scaffolding also implemented a large number of Health & Safety critical design elements to protect residents including residential exclusion zones during the removal of private balconies.

NASC Medium Size Project of the Year Finalist

In 2021 Wiltshire Council's Cabinet approved funding to refurbish and redevelop the Melksham House site, as well as demolish the Blue Pool.
Bryson Scaffolding Limited were engaged by Beard Construction Limited to design, supply, erect, hire and dismantle scaffolding to Melksham House Grade II listed Mansion, in Wiltshire.
A temporary roof was required to all interlocking buildings but there was not always ground levels to assist this build process. To assist, Bryson’s built internal scaffolds passing out of windows providing a solid structure to support spine beams. The independent access scaffolds could then be erected from the beams, supporting the temporary roof coverings.
It was important for Bryson Scaffolding to provide outside of the ordinary solutions for a complex build and be part of the regeneration of a historic town and a building of interest.
The lack of time in the programme encouraged Bryson Scaffolding to source different solutions relating to chimney stack scaffolds. Cantilevering methods were implemented to ensure works beneath could continue without scaffolding interruption.

Hill Group contacted Bryson Scaffolding to erect an eternal access scaffold to the first phase of Hengrove Park which will create 53 new council homes for social rent and shared ownership, as well as five commercial units.
Due to building restrictions Bryson Scaffolding were requested to design a solution allowing large proportions of the elevation scaffolds to be fully supported by beam work. Following in-depth site meetings, a proposal satisfying the build process was decided upon which included a series of long beam runs between the two halves of the building. While also installing large, cantilevered beam sections to the two gables.
